 Federal Skilled Worker Class has been the most popular category in the last few years.  Applicants need at least 67 points out of 100 points to be eligible to apply. Skilled workers are chosen as permanent residents based on their education, work  experience, English/French language skills, and other factors.   

 Federal Skilled Trade Class is for skilled workers who want to apply for permanent residency based on their skilled work experience. There is no education requirement for the Federal Skilled Trades Program. 

Canadian Experience Class is for skilled workers who have Canadian experience. There is no requirement to prove settlement funds. People who have 1 year of non- continuous work experience in last 3 years can apply under this class.
